Kyushu Historical Museum reveals the history of Kyushu, which played an important role for international communication with Mainland China and Korean Peninsula since the past. It also conducts researches and excavation about the Dazaifu and its related remains. Besides, it collects, preserves, investigate, and exhibit diplomatic and crafts. A limited number of free rental wheelchairs and strollers are available.

Exhibition room 1 and 3 only: JPY 200 (general), JPY150 (university and high school students), free (aged 65 or above, handicappers and one guardian). Saturdays: Free for high school students, junior high school students Groups (20 persons or above): JPY 150 (general), JPY 100 (university and high school students)

Every Monday (the next day if it falls on a public holiday), end year and new year (28th Dec to 4th Jan), and other temporary closure under special occasions
